Role of Employer's organisations

Employer's organisations represent the collective interest of employers at tripartite level involving the government, employers and workers locally and internationally.

The mission of the Employer's organisations is to improve the business environment for employers through advocacy, effective representation in social dialogue, promotion of decent work and responsible business and provision of value-added services.

The membership is open to all business enterprises, organizations, companies and partnerships both in the private and public sectors, including state corporations and county governments.
The employer's organisations in East Africa are affiliated to the International Organisation of Employers (IOE), Business Africa (BA), East African Employers Organisation (EAEO) and International Labour Organisation (ILO).

Through membership in the local employers’ organisations, enterprises can receive assistance and guidance in labour- and business-related challenges. Responsible business, stable labour relations and compliance with local laws and regulations is good for the enterprises, the personal relationship between management and employees and for the society at large.
